The OMIF Music Futures stream invests in high performing music companies with growth potential (revenues between $25K and $125K) to increase access, advance competitiveness, and accelerate success. 

Eligible applicants include Ontario-based record labels, music publishers, music management companies, and live music promoters/presenters.

Deadlines

In the 2026-27 program year, there will be two application intakes and deadlines.

Intake 1 Applications Open: Week of March 9, 2026

Deadline 1: Thursday, April 30, 2026, 5:00PM ET

For activities taking place between April 1, 2026 and August 31, 2027 (recipients will have a maximum 12-month eligible activity window within this period depending on the date of their first expenditure)

Intake 2 Applications Open: Week of July 27, 2026

Deadline 2: Thursday, September 24, 2026, 5:00PM ET

For activities taking place between August 1, 2026 and January 15, 2028 (recipients will have a maximum 12-month eligible activity window within this period depending on the date of their first expenditure)

Updated information and guidelines for the 2026-27 program year will be available when applications open in March 2026.
