CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Ontario Music Investment Fund (OMIF) - Music Industry Initiatives (MII)

The OMIF MII stream provides support to Ontario’s established music trade associations and music service organizations to offer initiatives, events and activities that strengthen, support and stimulate the economic and cultural growth of Ontario’s music industry.


Deadline:

The OMIF MII stream has a continuous application intake until Thursday, October 23, 2025, 5:00 PM ET, or until all funds have been allocated.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: IP FUND

The IP Fund combines the Film Fund and Interactive Digital Media (IDM) Fund into a single, integrated program that supports screen-based content creation by Ontario companies.

The IP Fund includes two program streams: Linear, for feature film and digital series; and, Interactive, for video games and XR content. Each program stream will support production and development/pre-production activities.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS:
Ontario Music Investment Fund (OMIF) - Live Music 2025-26

The OMIF Live Music stream supports businesses and organizations that produce or promote live music events featuring Canadian artists, including eligible music festivals and concert series. The Live Music stream will provide funding to increase the number and quality of live music experiences (e.g. events, festivals and concerts) that can be experienced by residents in and visitors to Ontario.  

Funding is provided in the form of direct grants towards the costs of eligible activities. The OMIF Live Music stream requires applicants to provide a matching contribution to ensure that maximum ROI is achieved from provincial investment. Applicants must demonstrate clear, measurable outcomes which align with the objectives of the Live Music stream.

Ontario Creates Futures Forward provides early-stage screen-based companies with access to the skills that they require to fast-track their knowledge acquisition and enhance the competitiveness of their companies through a series of courses administered by the following partner organizations:

• Interactive Ontario
• Webseries Canada
• Women in Film and Television – Toronto

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS - AcceleratiON 2025-2026

An Entrepreneurship Initiative* for Black- and Indigenous-Owned Music Businesses

As an economic development agency serving Ontario’s creative industries, Ontario Creates is committed to delivering high-impact support that creates jobs and opportunities for Ontarians and contributes to an advantageous business environment for growth. The core objective of the AcceleratiON program is to invest in new and emerging Black- and Indigenous-owned music businesses that demonstrate high potential for economic and cultural impact.

Funding will be provided to successful applicants in the form of direct business and creative development investments ranging from $2,500 to $20,000 to self-identifying Black- and Indigenous-owned businesses that generate the majority of their revenue from music-based activities.

Examples of Eligible Applicants include:

• Record Labels
• Music Publishers
• Artist Managers
• Concert Promoters
• Festival Presenters
• Booking Agents
• Recording Studios
• Music Production Businesses
• Podcasters & Owners of Original Content Platforms
• Music Publicists
• Music Marketing Businesses

Artist-entrepreneurs (this may include producers) that are expanding their vision to incorporate any of the above business models by investing in other artists may also be considered.
