CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Ontario Music Investment Fund (OMIF) - Music Industry Initiatives (MII)

The OMIF MII stream provides support to Ontario’s established music trade associations and music service organizations to offer initiatives, events and activities that strengthen, support and stimulate the economic and cultural growth of Ontario’s music industry.


Deadline:

The OMIF MII stream has a continuous application intake until Thursday, October 23, 2025, 5:00 PM ET, or until all funds have been allocated.

Ontario Creates Futures Forward provides early-stage screen-based companies with access to the skills that they require to fast-track their knowledge acquisition and enhance the competitiveness of their companies through a series of courses administered by the following partner organizations:

• Hand Eye Society
• Interactive Ontario
• Webseries Canada
• Women in Film and Television – Toronto

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS - AcceleratiON 2025-2026

An Entrepreneurship Initiative* for Black- and Indigenous-Owned Music Businesses

As an economic development agency serving Ontario’s creative industries, Ontario Creates is committed to delivering high-impact support that creates jobs and opportunities for Ontarians and contributes to an advantageous business environment for growth. The core objective of the AcceleratiON program is to invest in new and emerging Black- and Indigenous-owned music businesses that demonstrate high potential for economic and cultural impact.

Funding will be provided to successful applicants in the form of direct business and creative development investments ranging from $2,500 to $20,000 to self-identifying Black- and Indigenous-owned businesses that generate the majority of their revenue from music-based activities.

Examples of Eligible Applicants include:

• Record Labels
• Music Publishers
• Artist Managers
• Concert Promoters
• Festival Presenters
• Booking Agents
• Recording Studios
• Music Production Businesses
• Podcasters & Owners of Original Content Platforms
• Music Publicists
• Music Marketing Businesses

Artist-entrepreneurs (this may include producers) that are expanding their vision to incorporate any of the above business models by investing in other artists may also be considered.

*time-limited initiative, subject to available funding

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR THE TRILLIUM BOOK AWARDSubmission deadlines:  
November 7, 2025 – for titles published between January and October 2025  
January 30, 2026 – for titles published in November and December 2025  
Submissions for the Trillium Book Award for eligible titles published in 2025 (and 2024 titles for the Trillium Book Award for Poetry in French language only) are now being accepted by Ontario Creates.  

Guidelines and Submission Forms:

Publishers should note that:  
• one (1) eBook of each title in EPUB or PDF format must be uploaded to Ontario Creates’ online submission form  
• two (2) paper copies of each title must be submitted along with a hard copy completed submission form  
• publishers are responsible for ensuring that the author(s) of titles being submitted meet the residence eligibility criteria as outlined in the guidelines.  

Please allow sufficient time for postal delivery. Due to the volume of submissions, we are unable to confirm receipt of parcels. We recommend that you use a traceable shipping method so that you can track the progress of your package.
