CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: IDM FUND: PRODUCTION AND CONCEPT DEFINTION

The Ontario Creates Interactive Digital Media (IDM) Fund Concept Definition and Production programs provide IDM content creators with funding for high quality, original interactive digital media content projects that make a positive contribution to the Ontario economy.

  • Concept Definition - support for early-stage activities that take place prior to and assist the applicant company in preparing for full production of a market-ready interactive content project
  • Production - support for the creation of a market-ready interactive or video content project that will be made publicly available to an audience

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: BOOK FUNDThe Ontario Creates Book Fund supports the business development of independent Ontario-based book publishers. Funding is provided for marketing initiatives that promote the works of Canadian authors to both foreign and domestic markets, as well as activities that enable publishers to build on their capacity to achieve business development goals.

Eligible projects must have clear and measurable objectives.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: FILM FUND 2024-25 - PRODUCTIONThe Ontario Creates Film Fund is intended to increase the level of domestic feature film production in Ontario. It provides support to Ontario producers for feature film projects with development and production financing.

The Ontario Creates Film Fund supports a range of projects across genres with both industrial and cultural benefits. Ontario Creates measures the results of the Ontario Creates Film Fund primarily based on net benefit from the proposed project to the province which includes but is not limited to return on investment and jobs created in the Ontario film industry.

The Film Fund also provides enhanced support for films with diverse elements. See guidelines for more information.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: ONTARIO MUSIC INVESTMENT FUND (OMIF) – MUSIC CREATION

The OMIF Music Creation stream supports the development of competitive, sustainable music companies in Ontario that take risks discovering and developing talent – particularly emerging artists – and bringing it to market.

Music Creation provides funding to eligible domestic record labels, multinational record labels and domestic music publishers to support business activities that are focused on: expanding artist rosters; investing in professional recording and production; facilitating job creation; undertaking export market development; enhancing business capacity; and increasing and strengthening diversity within Ontario's music industry.

Funding is provided in the form of direct grants towards the costs of eligible activities. The OMIF Music Creation stream requires applicants to provide a matching contribution to ensure that maximum ROI is achieved from provincial investment. Applicants must demonstrate clear, measurable outcomes which align with the objectives of the Music Creation stream.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: ONTARIO MUSIC INVESTMENT FUND (OMIF) – MUSIC INDUSTRY INITIATIVES

The OMIF Music Industry Initiatives (MII) stream provides support to Ontario's established music trade associations and music service organizations to offer initiatives, events and activities that strengthen, support and stimulate the economic and cultural growth of Ontario's music industry.

MII will provide funding to successful applicants that engage in strategic and collective initiatives with long-term impacts on growth and sustainability in the music sector by building market share, increasing sales, promoting innovation and expanding regional capacity. Eligible activities include: professional development, training, networking/business to business initiatives, business analytics and market development export activities (including showcasing Ontario talent).
