IDM Fund: Marketing Support
The IDM Fund: Marketing Support program provides funding for marketing activities that will amplify the visibility and financial viability of Ontario Creates-funded interactive digital media projects when they are released/available for sale in the marketplace. The purpose of the Marketing Support program is to allow IDM Fund: Production program recipients to build an effective, wide-ranging, and successful marketing campaign for newly released products, in order to achieve increased revenues.
Please note: the Marketing Support program is open exclusively to IDM Fund Production program recipients with upcoming product launches.

Applicants are encouraged to apply for Marketing Support at least eight weeks before the completion of their market ready product, in order to have funds for product launch marketing activities available.
Successful applicants are eligible to receive up to $50,000, capped at 75% of the total costs for all activities. The minimum Ontario Creates contribution is $15,000. Companies that can demonstrate the need and appropriate plans for larger-scale marketing activities may be eligible for an increased maximum on a case-by-case basis. Prior to submitting an application, please contact Ontario Creates directly to discuss project eligibility.

Before submitting an application, applicants must first provide an update on the status of their IDM Fund: Production project to the relevant Program Consultant by sending an Applicant Inquiry from their project page in the OAP. The applicant must receive approval to apply from the Program Consultant.
All applications must be submitted via the Ontario Creates Online Application Portal (OAP). Applications submitted by any other method will not be accepted.
After the acceptance of the Production program interim report (or second interim report if applicable), eligible applicants will receive a Marketing Support program reminder via the OAP. To start the application, click on “Start New Application” and follow the directions through the five step wizard to access the application form.
